The technology sector continued its pace of rapid change in 2014, a trend that will only continue as we head into 2015. How is the technology landscape changing? What impact will this have on nonprofit organizations? How can your organization approach these changes in a way that is appropriate and effective?
Community IT Innovators’ President Johan Hammerstrom and Chief Technology Officer Matthew Eshlemen provided a broad overview of the changes that are having the greatest impact on nonprofits.
Specific topics include:
- How can your organization continue to leverage the cloud to achieve its mission?
- As security threats change, what can nonprofits do to keep data safe?
- Will advances in consumer-driven technology continue to impact the enterprise?
- As your workers work remotely how can you support them and their devices?
Johan Hammerstrom started at Community IT in 1999 as a Network Administrator. He has since been a Network Engineer, a Team Lead, the Director of Services, Vice President of Services, Chief Operating Officer and now President. Johan has worked directly with over 200 nonprofit organizations, to help them plan around and use technology to accomplish their missions. He frequently presents at technology conventions and nonprofit events and enjoys sharing nonprofit technology experience and insights.
As the Chief Technology Officer at Community IT, Matthew Eshleman is responsible for shaping Community IT’s strategy in assessing and recommending technology solutions to clients. With a deep background in network infrastructure technology he fundamentally understands how technology works and interoperates both in the office and in the cloud. Matt is a frequent speaker at NTEN events and has presented at the Inside NGO conference and Non-Profit Risk Management Summit.
